A totally free day in London? The same London that is known for its glamorous expenses and extortionate entry fees? Seems impossible, right? Well I’ve just lavished in the capital of England for a full action packed day, without it costing a fortune. Here are all the best ways to spend a free London day as a tourist or a local when you’re a little strapped for cash.
Exhibits
Outernet presents a range of immersive displays throughout the year. While I was there, it was the Butterfly Trial. Surrounded in vibrant pinks, purples and golds to make you believe you’re in a tropical storybook, you will see butterflies swooping above, leaving a sparkly trace. You can scan the QR code to help set butterflies free or to hold one in your hand.
This is located directly in front of the exit of Tottenham Court Road Train station.
